About Gio Mio
Gio Mio is a brand new label which designs and produces trendy dance wear for women and young girls. The purpose of the clothes is to give the dancers a possibility to look great when practising and to make perfectly fitted styles for dancing. The company was founded in May 2009 by Mette Georgio and is based in Aarhus, Denmark. The collections will be sold at the online store and at various dancing competitions, primarily in Denmark and the rest of Europe. Mette Georgio has danced her entire life and she recently participated in the Danish version of “Dancing with Stars” (Vild med dans) and after working as a fashion designer in Denmark for several years she decided to fulfill her dreams and start this company.

Well probably… And as you are not the only one, we have decided to make the right clothes for these occasions. We know how important it is to always look and feel your best in order to reach your full potential and to take part in the joy of dancing. Even though the outfit is only a part of your dance practise it really helps to boost your confidence if you feel beautiful and comfortable. You aim to perfect each step and movement and spend hours and hours in front of the mirror and lets face it… The reflection from the mirror is vital and this is the reason why you want to wear the styles from the Gio Mio collection.
What is the company all about?
The company specialises in practise wear for latin and ballroom dancing but as the collection is very much inspired by the newest trends from the world of fashion it is also great for parties and other occasions. The styles in the collection are individual items which can be combined in many different ways. As all of the dresses are specially designed for dancing they are all suitable for competitions and demonstrations as well as for practicing. To make the dresses even more custom-made for the competitions we can suggest you decorate them with rhinestones, beads or sequins.
What makes the styles from Gio Mio so special?
All items are designed with an edge and the qualities are carefully picked out so that they are perfect for dancing.
– The body stockings are made in a polyester/elastane quality which makes them perfect for unlimited movements and the quality transfers the sweat. All body stockings can be washed at 30 degrees and they have an extra wide crutch for the perfect fit when moving around. – The hot pants are made in the same quality as the above items and as they have the elastic around the legs they are perfect for wearing underneath all your skirts and dresses as they will stay in place while moving around. Of course they can also be worn independently to show off great legs and leg actions! The skirts, blouses and dresses are made in a luxurious polyester/elastane quality. The fabric is smooth, “heavy” and slightly shiny which gives beautiful movements and a great feeling.
