Welcome to MAC 2016!
We are thrilled to again to bring you the Manhattan Amateur Classic, otherwise known as “The MAC.” This will be the 26th annual MAC, with each year getting better and with a greater and greater representation of dancers from around the country and the world. The MAC will be offering all ages, Pre-Teen through Senior IV, in all 4 styles, and in all proficiency levels. The WDSF Junior II Latin and Standard will be held on Friday and Saturday nights, with the Junior II National qualifying events held on Sunday during the Jr. MAC. Mixed Proficiency is again being offered and new this year are the Same-Sex events.
Due to your overwhelming support and the better to accommodate the packed evening schedule we will be holding preliminary rounds of some events in the matinee session, as needed for time. Please plan on being able to dance those rounds during the afternoon of your evening session.
USA Dance is now using the same Senior age rules as the rest of WDSF. Please see our Age Categories under Competitor Information for details.

To All Competitors & Junior Parents:
Please note that all USA Dance memberships expire annually on December 31st. To ensure that you qualify for Nationals and are listed as qualified, please renew your membership prior to the MAC to avoid delays and having to stand in multiple lines.
While we will allow you to register on-site, there is no guarantee that your result will calculated as qualifying for nationals if you are not registered at least two weeks prior to the event.

This year the MAC will be held at the Hyatt Regency Jersey City on the Hudson, 2 Exchange Pl, Jersey City, NJ 07302. Collegiate Housing:
Contact the Housing Coordinator at mac_housing@nyusadance.org with the number of competitors for which housing is required.
We plan to have an area during Friday night registration for people who have requested housing so you should check in with the Housing Coordinator on Friday night, January 15, 2016.
